Albania is well positioned to benefit from the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).

As Day.Az reported on Friday with reference to Trend, Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku said this today, speaking at the plenary session within the framework of the 10th ministerial meeting within the framework of the Advisory Council of the Southern Gas Corridor and the 2nd th ministerial meeting within the framework of the Green Energy Advisory Council in Baku.

“The Southern Gas Corridor is a mechanism to further develop energy cooperation and partnerships between our countries, thereby promoting economic development, connectivity and energy security in the wider region. Albania is well positioned to use TAP to meet domestic energy needs and reduce dependence on electricity, while improving accessibility for households, industry and businesses,” she said.

It should be noted that today the 10th ministerial meeting was held in Baku within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council and the 2nd ministerial meeting within the framework of the Green Energy Advisory Council. The meeting was attended by representatives of 23 countries, 6 international organizations and 44 companies, as well as ministers, deputy ministers and other high-ranking officials from Azerbaijan and the countries of the European Union.
