Patna: The rally of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) held in Patna on Sunday not only got full support from the major political parties of Indi Alliance, but was also attended by big leaders. Apart from Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, CPI’s D Raja, CPI(M)’s Sitaram Yechury, CPI (ML)’s Dipankar Bhattacharya and Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav also arrived. Five members of Lalu family associated with politics were also present on the stage. RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife former CM Rabri Devi, daughter Misa Bharti, apart from his two sons Tejashwi and Tej Pratap were the organizers of the rally. After the Jan Vishwas Yatra in Bihar from February 20 to March 1, Tejashwi had organized a Jan Vishwas rally at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna on March 3.

Tejashwi Yadav’s enthusiasm must have definitely increased due to the huge crowd gathered in the rally. He took a dig at Nitish Kumar’s separation from the Grand Alliance, but maintained the decorum of words. Like Mallikarjun Kharge, neither poisonous words for Nitish Kumar nor harsh criticism of Narendra Modi came out of his tongue. Nitish was not Kharge’s target, but Kharge called Modi the chief of liars. Tejashwi also targeted Nitish in his criticism of Modi. He said that Modi ji is giving many types of guarantees. But, can they guarantee that uncle (Nitish Kumar) will not turn back?

Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav mentioned employment a lot in his speech. That is, due to being the Deputy Chief Minister with Nitish for 17 months, only the work he did towards employment generation was counted. If the enthusiasm of the crowd is converted into votes, then the ruling party will definitely face problems. It is a different matter that NDA has a face like Narendra Modi for the Lok Sabha elections. How effective Modi’s face is has been visible continuously since 2014. Barring exceptions, in how many states have assembly elections been held since 2014, instead of the face of the CM, BJP sought votes in the name of Modi only. Modi was the face behind the success that BJP got in the recent assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

In 2019, NDA won 39 out of 40 seats in Bihar in the name of Narendra Modi. However, after a year i.e. in the 2020 assembly elections, NDA did not get that kind of encouraging success. Yes, the majority was definitely obtained to form the government. The achievement of Tejashwi’s grand alliance at that time was also no less. With its hard work, the Grand Alliance had won 110 seats. Due to lack of just 12-13 MLAs, they missed forming the government. Later, with his skill, Tejashwi ousted four AIMIM MLAs, taking the number of Grand Alliance MLAs to 114. However, seven MLAs of Congress and RJD have recently changed sides. Well, from the line that Tejashwi has drawn in the matter of jobs, it seems that now the election battle of Bihar will revolve around this. If this happens, Tejashwi’s penance may bear fruit.
