The Vice-Chancellor has suspended the Dean and the Assistant Warden in the death of Siddharthan, a student of Wayanad Pookode Veterinary University. College Dean M.K. Narayanan and Assistant Warden R. Kanthanathan and the new Vice Chancellor Dr. C.C. Saseendran suspended. VC had earlier sought an explanation from both of them about the incident.
They gave the explanation to the VC that there was no failure on their part, the intervention was at the right time and everything was done according to the law. The suspension was found to be unsatisfactory. VC Choondikkatti said that their continued position will affect the investigation. At the same time, Siddharth’s father and the Youth Congress demanded that the suspension should be over and Dean should be included as an accused in the case.
