/ The Southeast Anatolia Exporters Union announced on Sunday that Iraq ranked third as the largest importer of Turkish pistachios out of 96 countries during the past year 2023.
According to data compiled by the official Turkish Anatolia Agency, Turkey’s revenues from exporting pistachios to 96 countries during the past year amounted to 151 million and 568 thousand dollars.
She added that Germany ranked first among the countries that import most Turkish pistachios with 36 million and 9 thousand dollars, followed by Italy second with 22 million and 460 thousand dollars, then Iraq third with 12 million and 628 thousand dollars.
She explained that the states of Sanliurfa and Gaziantep produce the largest quantity of pistachios, which are famous for their high quality and unique taste locally and internationally.
