From Wednesday, March 13 until Sunday, May 4, the “Lent Basket” comes into effect, as provided by the ministerial decision signed today by the Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas.
The “Lent Basket” is an extension of the “Household Basket” already in place, as three new food categories are added, so that every household has all the necessary products for the Lenten table at affordable prices.
The “Lent Basket” includes the following products:
Halva
Fasting Salads (ointments – eggplant salads, taramo salads, etc.)
Frozen seafood (at least two types)

It is noted that the list of already existing products in the “Household Basket” is as follows:

3 Loaf bread (standard/packaged)

26 Low-fat cheese
27 Preserved tomato juice
28 Eggs (cage and barn)
