The first licensed boxing tournament is gaining momentum in Busto Arsizio, Italy.

As reported by İdman.biz, today two athletes of the Azerbaijani national team entered the ring.

Umid Rustamov (57 kg) defeated Nawaf Alzakhmi (UAE) in his first fight at the tournament. Already in the first round he knocked out his opponent. Umid’s next opponent will be Bakary Hassan (Kenya). The fight will take place on March 8.

In the women’s competition, Zeinab Ragimova (54 kg) won against Fatima Zohra Hajaly (Algeria) with a score of 4:1 (29:28, 30:27, 29:29, 30:27, 28:29) In the 1/16 she will meet with representative of Ethiopia Ageri Bayev. The battle will take place on March 7.

Bilalhabashi Nazarov (48 kg), Zidan Khumbatov (51 kg), Magomedali Ashuraliev (57 kg), Ibrahim Zeynalov (63.5 kg), Huseyn Gadzhiev (67 kg) will take part in the tournament under the leadership of the head coach of the national team Elbrus Rzayev and coach Elvin Mamishzade kg) and Ziya Hasanov (71 kg).
