The image of Tomiris, created for the first time by representatives of the TURKSOY countries, is presented in a single conceptual, all-Turkic historical and cultural plane, personifying Turkic art and the environment of artistic expression in common universal values.

A grandiose symbol of ancient Turkic history, the picturesque image of the ruler of the Massagetae, Tomiris, occupies an important place in world art. The first mention of the image of Tomiris dates back to the medieval period. In the early period in European monasteries, the image of Tomiris was used in illustrations to the historical narratives of Herodotus, and later was reflected in the works of great artists – Rubens, Castagno, Gentileschi, Preti, Brucesfaro and others.

Tomiris is noted among the important characters of history as a symbol of heroism and justice. Her image has special significance in the artistic environment of the Turkic world. For a long time, various masters, in their appeals to the image of Tomiris, along with local artistic features, sought to emphasize its common Turkic essence.

The project participants were awarded special TURKSOY diplomas, and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan was given a special award for their contribution to the development and promotion of Turkic history and culture.
