Tim Mälzer is currently making his way through a new season of “Kitchen Impossible”. But for how much longer? In an interview, the TV chef is now publicly thinking about his pension.

Tim Mälzer, 53, is considered one of the most popular TV chefs in Germany and can currently be seen on VOX every Sunday with “Kitchen Impossible”. He is also working on a cookbook, continues to run his restaurant “Bullerei” in Hamburg and is not lazy in any other way. However, he spoke to “szene Hamburg” about retirement – what’s behind it?

Despite the current season of “Kitchen Impossible,” Tim Mälzer is thinking about quitting

Observers and fans of the 53-year-old probably find it difficult to imagine. The TV chef has been all too present and busy in recent years. A new, exciting project always followed. It’s hard to imagine him lazing around day in and day out and occasionally pursuing a hobby. But apparently Tim Mälzer himself has a lot more imagination when it comes to his own pension. “There are so many things I want to do, but actually I just want to retire,” he explains in an interview. He is now at an age where the question would arise automatically. That’s why he deals with it more often and makes it clear: “I don’t want to be one of those people who doesn’t notice the end.”

There are still many to-dos on his list

But it still seems to take some time until that happens. After all, in the same conversation he also reveals what else is on his to-do list. “I have around 40 concepts and ideas in my head right now. They range from an ice cream parlor in KaDeWe to the reactivation of the off-club that I once had in Bahrenfeld. Then I recently saw a gastro location that I wanted to go to “I immediately had an idea. I also want to do a ramen bar, a fish restaurant and a completely German restaurant.” If he found time and energy for another season of “Kitchen Impossible” in between, the TV viewers would certainly not be angry either.

Until then, you can watch the current season of “Kitchen Impossible” every Sunday at 8:15 p.m. on VOX or stream it on RTL+.
