An oil tank caught fire in the Russian Kursk region bordering Ukraine, today, Wednesday, after a Ukrainian drone attack that did not result in casualties, as announced by the region’s governor, Roman Starovoit.

The Russian official wrote on the Telegram application, “An attack by a Ukrainian drone in the Yeleznogorsky region today (Wednesday) caused a fire in a fuel and lubricants warehouse.”

Videos on social media show at least one damaged tank on fire and emitting black smoke.
Russian news agency TASS reported that the warehouse is owned by the Varychev mining group, affiliated with the steel company Metallo-Invest, which was founded by a businessman close to power, Alisher Usmanov.
The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on this attack, but said that it destroyed three Ukrainian drones on the night of Tuesday and Wednesday, two over the Voronj region and another over the Belgorod region, both on the border with Ukraine.
These attacks did not result in any human casualties, according to this source.
