We continue vigorously with the new boycott strike of the D.O.E. We are not backing down. We stand for public education.
The Board of Directors her D.O.E. he greets, once again, the thousands teachers all over the country who actively participate in the abstinence strike against the anti-pedagogical – anti-scientific individual “assessment” of Law 4823/21 and the relevant Ministerial Decision.
As expected, the political leadership of Y.PAI.TH.A., turned with a lawsuit also against the strike-abstention declared by A.D.E.D.Y., supporting the D.O.E. struggle. and O.L.M.E., revealing the absolute poverty of pedagogical arguments in favor of the anti-educational legislative framework for the enforcement of “evaluation”.
The decision of the Single-Member Court of First Instance, based not only on legal grounds, but also with an “opinion” on the substance of the teachers’ claims, supporting the “evaluation” of Law 4823/21, ruled that the A.D.E.D. strike-abstention .Y. “constitutes a political strike, which is illegal and abusive.”
The Board of Directors of D.O.E. after this development, implementing his unanimous decision from 5/3/2024, he proceeded to declare a new strike-abstention, which he communicated today with an out-of-court order to the Ministry of Education.
We invite the teachers to sign (and then have it recorded in the school unit), the new participation form in the new strike-abstention declared by the D.O.E. stressing that there has been no consequence, for any colleague, with the massive participation in the strike-abstention so far.
We also emphasize that the work attitudes regarding the monitoring of colleagues’ teachings by evaluators continue.
The Board of Directors of D.O.E. calls on all the officials of primary education to continue following the path of the struggle, based on its competitive plan which is organized and announced step by step, until we force the political leadership of Y.PAI.TH.A. withdraw all reactionary legislation and accept the fair demands of teachers through a meaningful dialogue, to protect the public school.

We hereby declare that we participate in the strike-abstention announced by the D.O.E. on 7/3/2024, from any action related to the evaluation system, which is promoted on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and more specifically from the procedures provided by law 4823/21 and also by Ministerial Decision 9950/ GD5 Official Gazette 388/27-1-2023 “Regulation of more specific and detailed issues regarding the evaluation of teachers and members of Special Educational Staff and Special Auxiliary Staff of primary and secondary education, as well as its implementation process” and related to all extracurricular tasks related to individual evaluation (meetings with Education Advisors, updating individual files, submitting a self-evaluation report, etc.).
