Riccardo Bossi, eldest son of former League leader Umberto, is under investigation for fraud against the state, accused of having unduly received citizenship income. According to the hypothesis of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Busto Arsizio (Varese), Riccardo Bossi would have received a contribution under the Citizenship Income of 280 euros per month for 43 months between 2020 and 2023, for a total amount of over 12 thousand euros.
However, according to the investigators, it was an undue disbursement linked to the payment of the rent of an apartment from which Bossi had already been evicted because he was in arrears. The investigation was triggered by a report from the Revenue Agency. Riccardo Bossi has received notification of the closure of the preliminary investigations, which preludes a request for indictment.
