This Saturday, the driver had to abandon the race in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), after having touched a side wall and spun that left his rear left tire punctured… It was the closing of a negative weekend for the 20-year-old boy born in Pilar (Buenos Aires), who had started sixth in the race feature from the opening of the calendar, last Saturday in Bahrain.
How was the maneuver? With good pace, the MP Motorsport team driver was climbing, looking to get into the top ten of the classification (he was eleventh). But on lap 15, he touched the wall at the exit of the last corner, spun and was stopped. There was nothing more to do.

The race was won by Enzo Fittipaldi (Van Amersfoort Racing), Second place went to Indian Kush Maini (Invicta Racing) and third place went to Denis Hauger (Collapinto’s teammate). The truth is that I am very hot. I hit the wall really hard on my first lap. It was a good lap, but I think that not being used to street circuits – it is my second race on this type of circuit; I only raced in Monaco – and this being the first real fast street race… We could have done a very good classification. It was completely my mistake. I think we had a very good car. It’s a shame,” Colapinto had lamented in an interview with Fox Sports, already in the pits.
