Azerbaijani judoka Rashid Mamedaliyev (73 kg) won a silver award at the Grand Prix held in Linz, Austria.
As reported by İdman.biz, first he won against tatami owner Samuel Gassner, and then against Masayuki Terada (Taiwan). Then he defeated Akil Gzhakova (Kosovo), and in the quarterfinals he was stronger than Vinicius Ardina (Brazil).
In the semi-finals, Rashid defeated Hasan Dukkali (Albania).
In the final, our athlete lost to Adil Osmanov (Moldova), taking silver.
This medal was the first for the team at the tournament.
