Islamabad: These days, Pakistani Army is conducting large-scale maneuvers in the area bordering Rajasthan. The exercise was inaugurated by Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir on March 9. This exercise of Pakistani Army has been named Shamshir-e-Sahra. Many brigades of the Pakistani Army are taking part in this exercise being held near Rahim Yar Khan in Pakistani Punjab province. During this, counter action during enemy attack and war with tanks at night is being practiced. It is also being seen as a response to the Indian Army’s exercise in Pokaran, Rajasthan.
According to Pakistani media reports, the Shamshir-e-Sahra exercise is designed to enhance essential professional skills and battlefield tactics keeping in mind modern warfare. In this, firing and combat skills are being improved by bringing soldiers of many divisions including armoured, infantry, mechanized infantry, artillery, air defense and anti-tank guided missile units on one platform. It is believed that the objective of the Pakistani Army is to develop an integrated force through this exercise, in which all the units work together.
Pakistani Air Force is also participating
Pakistani Air Force has also participated in this exercise. During the exercise, Pakistani Air Force carried out tasks like providing aerial support to the troops, airdropping, maintaining the supply of logistics and weapons and conducting recce of the enemies. The Pakistani Air Force claimed that it is always ready to provide an effective and immediate deterrence against the enemy along with the ground forces and to protect the skies of Pakistan.
India is going to conduct big military exercise in Rajasthan
The three armies of India are going to conduct exercises together in Pokhran, Rajasthan from March 12. This exercise has been named Bharat Shakti. The special thing is that indigenous weapons will be used during this exercise. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will launch the Bharat Shakti exercise. This exercise will be completely dependent on Indian weapons, which will also include indigenous communication devices and other equipment.
