jpnn.comJAKARTA – Comedian Denny Cagur has officially qualified as a member of the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 term from the West Java II electoral district.

Even though it is classified as a hellish electoral district because it is filled with a number of senior politicians and artists, Denny Cagur is in the top 10 legislative candidates with the most votes.

Based on the results of the plenary meeting recapitulating the vote count of the KPU for Bandung Regency and West Bandung Regency, the PDIP politician won seats for 6 legislative candidates who qualified for Senayan from the West Java II electoral district.

Denny Cagur, based on the results of the plenary meeting of the West Bandung Regency KPU and the Bandung Regency KPU, received a total of 58,043 votes. In the West Java II electoral district, PDIP received 267,638 votes.

Denny Cagur’s vote tally beat two other PDIP legislative candidates, namely artist Hengki Kurniawan who is the former Regent of West Bandung (48,428) and incumbent H. Yadi Srimulyadi (21,414)

Initially, Denny Cagur was in second place as a PDIP legislative candidate behind Hengki Kurniawan.

However, recently he succeeded in significantly overtaking Hengki Kurniawan’s vote so he was confirmed to be one of the legislative candidates from the West Java II electoral district who managed to qualify for Senayan.

Through his Instagram Story account, Denny Cagur uploaded a number of congratulations to himself for becoming a member of the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 term.

According to the KPU vote count for Bandung Regency and West Bandung Regency, Denny Cagur won seats for 6 legislative candidates who qualified for Senayan from the West Java II electoral district.
