Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury has ordered to settle the complaints received on hotline number 333-4 at the earliest.

On Monday (March 11) in the meeting room of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the secretariat, he gave this order to the concerned in the meeting to review the progress of the construction of the Smart Ministry.

Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that the complaints received on the national hotline number 333-4 should be resolved as soon as possible by the departments and organizations under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. For this purpose, all necessary initiatives including system improvement, regular monitoring should be taken. After settling the complaint, whether the complainant is satisfied or not, there should be an opportunity to evaluate regularly.

Urging the public to call the national 333 number to report complaints related to environmental pollution and forest, the Minister said, the Grievance Redressal System (GRS) software of the Cabinet Division will be customized and used with the activities of the Ministry.

He said that within the month of March, the process of settlement of environmental complaints at number 333-4 should be fully launched. The minister ordered to make the website of the ministry in a new structure for easy use of the people.

In the meeting, among others, Additional Secretary (Administration) of the Ministry, Iqbal Abdullah Haroon, Director General of the Department of Environment. Abdul Hamid, Joint Secretary (Climate Change) Lubna Yasmin, Joint Secretary (Environment) Mohammad Abdul Wadud Chowdhury, Joint Secretary (Forest) Shahanara Begum, Conservator of Forests (Administration) Abdul Awal Sarkar of the Directorate of Forests and officials of the Ministry and ICT Department were present.
