/ The Competitions Committee of the Iraqi Football Federation, on Monday, mortgaged the period during which the Iraq Stars League competitions will stop, on the results the team will achieve in the Asian Championship.

Committee member Firat Jabbar told Agency, “The Federation, in coordination with the committee, announced the suspension of the league starting today, Monday, indefinitely, as the return of competitions depends on the results of the Iraqi team in the continental championship scheduled to be held on the twelfth of this month in Qatar.”

He stated, “If the team succeeds and achieves positive results in the Asian Championship and qualifies for advanced stages during the competitions and reaches the final rounds, the period of suspension may reach about 40 days as a maximum time limit, but if it is unable to pass the preliminary rounds, God forbid, then the period of suspension will be.” About 20 days.”

He added, “The committee is keen to follow the approach it has set and complete the league competitions at the scheduled times without causing any delay,” pointing out that “next season’s league will be more organized and controlled over the start and closing dates of the competitions.”
