On Monday 11/03 a 17-year-old girl committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the apartment building where she lived in Dafni.
Understandably, the residents in the neighborhood are in a state of shock, as they cannot believe what has happened. They talk about a smiling and quiet girl who had her whole life ahead of her.
Her brother, who was the last to see her, spoke on the show “Truths with Zina” describing her last moments.
“He came home from school and I saw her a little sad. I asked her what she had, she told me nothing and went to her room. I assumed she was tired. After a while he came out and told me he was going to the storeroom next to our house to get something. Some time passed and I thought she was talking to any of her friends and suddenly a neighbor came and told me what had happened“, he said.
As he himself said, his sister had a lot of stress with Panhellenic and his parents sometimes pushed her a little more, but apart from that there were no problems in the family, and he was not aware of any problems at school.
He then said: “He had friends, I don’t know if he was dealing with any bullying issues. He had not told us that he had any problems at school. He wanted to be a soldier.”
The girl’s mother was taken to the hospital because she had fainting tendencies as soon as she heard the tragic news that her daughter committed suicide, while her 17-year-old father is also in a bad psychological state.
Psychologists from the municipality are on the side of the family, but also of her classmates.
