Albayrak Group’s investments in Azerbaijan have already reached 20 million US dollars.
Alport Baku manager Vahdettin Kelesh reported this exclusively to Day.Az on Tuesday with reference to Trend.
“Our investments in Azerbaijan have already reached the $20 million mark, the goal of which is to develop a logistics route connecting China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Turkey and, ultimately, Europe,” he emphasized.
Keles noted that these investments are aimed at strengthening the Middle Corridor, making it more powerful.
“We already have a company in Uzbekistan, and the opening of a representative office in Kazakhstan is just around the corner. However, Azerbaijan will become the central hub for all these areas. We founded our company here and already have almost 100 employees in the Baku port. All projects have already been prepared , and the Baku port is our partner. To increase the cargo flow along this corridor, we are cooperating with Kazakh and Uzbek partners, and China will be our next step. Our goal is to ensure the efficient, accurate and efficient operation of the corridor. And our future plan is to use the Zangezur corridor after its opening through Turkey and further to Europe for the transport of goods,” he added.
It should be noted that in July 2022, Albayrak acquired the operational right to develop the Baku port, which is located at the intersection of the modern Silk Road and major transport corridors and is the largest intermodal logistics hub in the heart of Eurasia. In accordance with the agreement, Albayrak Group took over the management of ro-ro, container and fertilizer terminals.
Along with Alport’s rich experience in logistics around the world, the increase in the volume of cargo transported from Central Asian countries to Europe and Turkey will contribute to an increase in traffic volumes, and modern logistics solutions will ensure operational efficiency and add value to the Azerbaijani economy by increasing cargo traffic to the port .
