The Trans-Andean Government spokesperson said that “the unnecessary inclusion of the feminine in all official” documents must be avoided.

The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, announced the prohibition of the use of inclusive language and everything related to the gender perspective in the public administrations of the trans-Andean country.

This was reported by the spokesperson for the trans-Andean government, Manuel Adorni, who detailed that “you will not be able to use the letter E, the at sign (@), the X, and the unnecessary inclusion of the feminine should be avoided, in all official documents.

“The language that covers all sectors is the one we use, it is the Castilian language, it is Spanish,” said Adorni.

“We consider that Gender perspectives have also been used as a political business, so that for us has no discussion,” he added.

This new Argentine standard was announced days after the resolution released by the Argentine Ministry of Defense which indicated that the use of “So-called inclusive language” does not correspond to the regulations set by the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) and the Argentine Academy of Letters.

For this reason, “it is necessary to adopt a measure to eliminate incorrect forms of language within the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces,” stated the local government.

For its part, the Feminist Collective Revolt of Argentina expressed its annoyance at Milei’s decision. “The government’s provocation, hatred and misogyny have no limits. Neither do our struggles. The 8M in the streets, look, Milei, what are you doing with your ban. The debt is with us and with the people,” they stated from their X account.
