Oil quotes are growing slightly on Tuesday morning; they ended the previous session almost unchanged.

As Day.Az reports with reference to Interfax, May Brent futures rose in price on the London ICE Futures exchange by $0.22 (0.27%) to $82.43 per barrel. On Monday, Brent rose 13 cents to $82.21 a barrel.

By this time, April futures for WTI had risen in price on the New York Mercantile Exchange NYMEX by $0.13 (0.17%) to $78.06 per barrel. During the previous session, the contract fell by 8 cents to $77.93 per barrel.

Market participants are awaiting the release of US inflation data on March 12, as well as the publication of monthly reports from OPEC and the International Energy Agency (IEA).

In addition, traders are monitoring compliance by OPEC+ countries with their voluntary commitments to reduce supplies, as well as the level of production in the United States, which has been at record levels since the end of January.

“There are mixed signals coming from OPEC and the US Department of Energy, and in order for the market to clearly determine the direction of movement,” they need to come to uniformity, noted Charu Chanana, an analyst at the Singapore division of Saxo Capital Markets.
