Tate has argued that Romanian prosecutors have no evidence against him and claims it is a political conspiracy to silence him.
The influencer Andrew Tate held at Romania after executing a warrant arrest issued by the British authorities, according to a statement from his representative on Tuesday (12/3).
THE Tatealong with his brother Tristan Tate, were arrested on Monday night (11/3) for charges sexual assault related to case in United Kingdomwhich spans from 2012 to 2015, said Mateea Petrescu, a spokeswoman for the Tate.

Four women have accused Tate in the UK of sexual violence and physical abuse. Despite their claims, the Crown Prosecution Service chose not to prosecute him. After this decision, the alleged as victims resorted to crowdfunding to fund their legal battle to file a civil suit against him.
On the crowdfunding campaign page, they shared the following: “We submitted our evidence of the horrific acts of violence we suffered and expected action. But four years later, we were informed that the British authorities would not be prosecuting. It’s the only avenue we have left to hold him accountable».
Responding to the allegations, Petrescu relayed that the Tate brothers strongly deny the allegations, expressing “deeply disappointed that such serious allegations are being revived without significant new evidence».

Andrew Tate faces separate charges in Romania, including human trafficking and forming a criminal organization with the aim of sexual exploitation of women. He was arrested close to Bucharest in December 2022, along with his brother Tristan and two Romanian women, while Romanian prosecutors formally charged him in June of the previous year. All four have denied the charges against them.
Tate, who has 8.9 million followers on social media platform X, has consistently maintained that Romanian prosecutors have no evidence against him and claims it is a political conspiracy to silence him. He has been banned from several major social media platforms in the past for misogynistic comments and hate speech.

A recent post on Tate’s X account stated: “The Matrix is afraid, but I only fear God». Tate uses the “Matrix” as a metaphor for what he perceives as a broad conspiracy against men.
After their arrest in Romania, the Tate brothers were initially placed in police custody for three months before being placed under house arrest. Their movements were limited to the Municipality of Bucharest and the adjacent Ilfov County, with a ban on exiting Romania. The ongoing trial in Romania is still at the preliminary committee stage, where defendants have the opportunity to challenge prosecutors’ evidence. A trial date has not yet been set.
