As the year 2024 opens, it’s the start of the heavy lifting for SIGMA, a hardworking company. Recently there are rumors that they are preparing to launch the ultimate full frame lens, faster than F1.4 (or will it be F1.2!?) within. End of March this year.
In terms of information, this lens is specifically designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras. Of course, there is support for Sony E and L-mount mounts as before, plus faster light than F1.4 with an Autofocus system.
Currently, if we talk about a fast lens with an aperture wider than SIGMA’s F1.4, there is the 35mm F1.2 DG DN | Art. It is possible that this is the case. 50mm F1.2 Has it ever been rumored? Or will it go all the way to F1 or something brighter? We’ll have to wait and see on this one!
