Norway’s and soon the whole world’s girl in red guests 730’s podcast!

Girlboss Marie Ulven Ringheim alias girl in red (born in 99) keeps it real about why we need each other in this world.

Marie has definitely earned herself 16 million listeners on Spotify.

When she is not writing and producing own tunes, the Horton girl is most often on the go.

In two short years, she has supported both Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift on their respective world tours.

Now she is doing it again and going on a European tour in 2024.

The 25-year-old says that tour life is not always as glamorous as it should be. And bends in the dust for the tour assistant who relieves her.

– There is a lot of stress on tour. Poor relationship with finding food. When should you find time to wash clothes? There are things like that that I don’t have the capacity to do on tour as we have to perform at a very high level at concerts.

About the collaboration with the world’s biggest artist aka Taylor Swift, Marie says that Taylor is a superhero in many ways.

– It was surreal [å møte henne]. She looks like a superhero. All the dresses that fit like a shot. Of course she is the world’s greatest artist. She is iconic and she is very tall!

Marie also announces that the new album – aka I’m Doing It Again Baby! – features a major American pop artist.

– I think this is the coolest feature in the whole of 2024, she teases.

(The album will be released on April 12.)

– The new album is out! It’s a bit like the first album on steroids.

In other words, it’s just to be happy.

It also becomes emotional when Marie talks about the shadow of success, and that she often misses being included in everyday activities with her friends from Horten.

– It is very painful not to fit in. I can still feel a lack of belonging. It is, for example, extremely embarrassing to say that you have not been invited anywhere on 17 May. I never felt like I connected with people growing up and gravitated towards music as a result.
