A bus driver who apparently committed several irregularities was expelled, according to the Minister of Transportation of CubaEduardo Rodríguez Dávila, after a complaint on social networks.

The complaint on the networks stated that, allegedly, the National Bus carrier was charging 500 Cuban pesos from Matanzas to Alamar, for what seemed like a “private bus.”

In that sense, the Minister of Transportation of Cuba He stated that the driver, who provides transportation service to the Mayabeque baseball team of the National Series, was accused of excessive charging, since the ticket for that route (Matanzas-Havana) has a value of only 30 Cuban pesos.

Likewise, he added that “the driver’s decision to leave the Victoria de Girón Stadium, in Matanzas, bound for Havana, was not consulted with the EON Management Post or the Base Business Unit to which he belongs, nor was it informed the other driver.”

Likewise, it was stated that the accused driver had been involved in other irregularities, so the management of the Base Business Unit decided to apply the “Definitive Separation of the Entity” to him because they considered him responsible for the violations.

“Likewise, apply Decree Law 249, on material responsibility, so that the expense generated by the company for the fuel consumption associated with the violations committed is compensated,” added the statement from the Minister of Transportation of Cuba on his social networks.

Finally, the Castro official, in his efforts to make people believe that “they defend the rights of the people,” assured that nothing justifies “that people with the means of a state company in their charge, with the social destiny of passenger transportation, profit with them, for their individual interests,” while acknowledging that these are “difficult times for everyone.”
