If Sergi Roberto is probably living out his last months at Barcelona, Pau Cubarsi is enjoying a start to his Barça career that is suspected to be exceptional.
Sergi Roberto will most likely leave Barcelona at the end of the season. Yeah Xavi was, and is, its greatest defender, the departure of the coach and the low esteem that a good part of the club’s environment has for him will cause the oldest footballer in the squad, debutant with Pep Guardiola In 2011, he ended his career away from the Camp Nou, much to his regret.

Sergi Roberto is not the fastest, he is not the most powerful nor the strongest. He is possibly not the most technical either (although he has plenty of quality) and his role in the squad, which was always secondary, began to be suspected of being an infiltrator. For those who think this way, his performance against Napoli serves as a lesson and teaching. Positioned, intelligent, quick in combination and agile in unmarking, he gave Barça a head start.

Against Napoli he did everything well again. Absolutely. Focused, positioned, quick to cut, without having to make any fuss and chasing and even boring Osimhen, he had plenty of energy to throw up to three deep, long, exceptional passes, which the Ronald Koeman of his best times would have signed. Not balloons, not pumps, authentic mid-altitude missiles that always found their recipient.
