Bengaluru: The Bengaluru police has started an investigation into the mysterious death of a woman from Uzbekistan in a hotel in the city. A 37-year-old woman named Sarina was found dead in a hotel room in Seshadripuram, Bengaluru. Sarina arrived in Bengaluru on a tourist visa four days ago. Sarina was found dead by the staff in the second floor room of the hotel at around 4:30 yesterday afternoon.
The hotel manager immediately informed the police and the police registered a case of unnatural death. The police said that prima facie evidence points to murder and investigation is underway. The police concluded that she was killed by suffocation. The body was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem. Forensic team and dog squad conducted an inspection in the hotel room. The CCTV footage, including those who came to see Sarina, is being examined.
