The Road Conservation Fund (FOVIAL) and the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation delivered, this day, the multilevel crossing built on the Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer roundabout, known as the El Molino roundabout or the UNICAES roundabout in Santa Ana.

The project consisted of the construction of an elevated two-lane overpass (one in each direction) for the passage from Los 44 Boulevard to the road to Metapán, 270 meters long; a depressed one-lane passage in the direction from the old highway to San Salvador to 25th Avenue South, 230 meters long and the improvement of the old highway to Santa Ana and detour to San Pablo Tacachico.

The project also included the expansion of access on the south side (El Molino bridge), the improvement of the David Granadino diagonal, bays for bus stops and improvement of the drainage system to prevent flooding.

With an investment of $13.3 million (includes execution and supervision), more than 27,748 drivers who travel this road daily benefit.

Project activities included the construction of overpasses, placement of asphalt concrete pavement, electrical and lighting works, sewer and drainage constructions, horizontal and vertical signage, and tree planting.
