We are pleased to represent Uzbekistan at such interesting international competitions as the AGF Trophy artistic gymnastics tournament.
As Day.Az reports, Honored Coach of Uzbekistan Svetlana Kuznetsova told Trend about this on Friday.
“I think this is a good start for juniors and pre-juniors, because they are our hope for the Olympic Games in 2028. Therefore, the sooner we start preparing, the better. The task at the competition for most of our young gymnasts is to understand what an international level sport is “Now it is important to check not only their physical and technical preparation, but also psychological, and also to look at participants from other countries, who performs well. This is always necessary, because the engine of progress is healthy competition. And, of course, to show your skills. Everyone is determined to get to the finals. Competitions are a great school for both coaches and athletes,” she noted.
Svetlana Kuznetsova, who is the coach of the Uzbekistan women’s team, previously visited Baku with her senior students as part of the World Cup stages.
“Many of our girls who participate in the AGF Trophy came to Baku for the first time. They really liked the gymnasium arena. I think that the country is very well prepared for the competition, there are no problems with accommodation or transportation. There is always someone to turn to for help , and all issues are resolved immediately,” she said.
It should be noted that the International Artistic Gymnastics Tournament “AGF Trophy” is being held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku from March 15 to 17. About 90 athletes representing Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Georgia are participating in the competition.
