jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN) held its first National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) with the theme “Collaboration between Regional Governments and the Archipelago Capital to Create a World City for All” at the Kempinski Hotel, Central Jakarta, Thursday (14/3).

The National Coordination Meeting aims to ensure equal distribution of information regarding the form of government in IKN, the potential for cooperation with IKN, the specifics of IKN and the special authority of IKN, the development of IKN development, the implementation of investment in IKN, as well as to strengthen collaboration with all regional governments and ministries/institutions in Indonesia.

In this activity, an explanation of the concept and perspective of the Archipelago Capital was also presented from various aspects, including a government perspective that focuses on innovation and adaptability, an environmental perspective to create a sustainable city by achieving net zero emissions by 2045, an economic perspective to realize justice and equality in inclusive economic growth, as well as a technological perspective that adopts the Smart City concept to improve the quality of life and community adaptation to change.

Bambang Susantono, Head of the IKN Authority, said that the introduction of the Archipelago Capital was a step in the transformation of civilization in Indonesia. The development of the Archipelago Capital is expected to become a base for a new civilization by introducing new cultures.

“The development of the Archipelago Capital City is a transformation to create a new civilization by introducing a new culture and a new basis for Indonesia’s progress as well as to spread a new economic magnet so that it is not only based on the island of Java. “This makes collaboration between regional governments and ministries/institutions vital in accordance with good government governance,” he said.

In line with this, the Deputy for Development Control of the IKN Authority, Thomas Umbu Pati Tena Bolodadi, said, “It is our hope that this National Coordination Meeting will also be able to provide a forum for constructive discussion so that all participants can fully understand the Concept of an Archipelago Capital and how to create a new civilization to welcome Indonesia’s Golden Year 2045.”

The National Coordination Meeting was attended by a number of speakers from related ministries/institutions, namely; Pls. Director General of Regional Administration Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Amran; Chair of the National Capital Infrastructure Development Task Force, Danis H. Sumadilaga; Secretary General of the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Suyus Windayana; Plt. Deputy for Regional Development of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Tri Dewi Virgiyanti; as well as the Curator of the Archipelago Capital, Ridwan Kamil,

“In line with our vision of realizing a smart city with a net zero emissions orientation, our task here is to ensure development runs sustainably so that it will provide benefits to the wider community,” said Ridwan Kamil on that occasion.
