The municipality of Veliko Tarnovo has an approved project for the modernization of the Kindergarten “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” in the quarter “Sveta Gora”. The financing will be provided under the target program of the Ministry of Education and Culture for the construction of new kindergartens or the reconstruction of existing ones, according to the local administration.
The kindergarten in the “Sveta Gora” district has not been fundamentally renovated since its construction in 1987. The intervention foresees the implementation of complex measures for energy efficiency – renovation, replacement of windows, repair of the roof, construction of new installations for heating, plumbing , lighting. Interiors will be renewed. The activities will be implemented on 1610 square meters of built-up area.
In the kindergarten “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” innovative Waldorf pedagogy is applied. During the current school year, 71 children are enrolled in three groups. After the modernization, there will be an opportunity to separate one more new group, and the total capacity will increase to 100 children. The planned investment is in amount of BGN 1 million in grants.
