The doctor’s body was found in a state of decomposition in a hotel in Manta.

The doctor Marcelo Alcívar was reported missing last Sunday, March 10, in the Los Ceibos citadel, in Guayaquil. Two days later, the Prosecutor’s Office issued the warning ticket, however, hours later the fatal outcome of the search for him became known. The doctor’s body was found in a state of decomposition in a hotel in Manta.
The discovery occurred on the night of this Monday, March 12. According to preliminary information from the Police, the body showed no signs of violence, so it is presumed that the doctor had taken his own life, although this must be established by forensic studies.

According to the story of the daughter of the hotel owner, the doctor arrived at the place alone and asked for a room for two days, this despite the owner’s warning that the water pump had been damaged, and she did not have this service.
«He arrived alone, asked for a room and my mother told him that she did not have water service, so she could not rent to him, she was just filling a container, and he told her that that was enough. “He even took it up to the third floor,” said the woman who identified herself as the owner’s daughter.
Finally, in statements to the press, Lieutenant Germán Solís ruled out that it was a violent death and announced that the forensic medicine unit will be in charge of performing the corresponding autopsy.
