Dubai: In a shocking incident, a passenger was detained with strange items at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates. The things recovered from the traveler were specifically used for witchcraft. According to the report, this passenger had arrived from an African country. On suspicion, the customs officials at the airport searched and found shocking things inside a bag carried by the passenger.

According to a report by the Arabic language daily newspaper Emarat Al Youm, Dubai Customs officials found a live snake near the passenger. Along with this, a monkey’s hand, a dead bird and eggs wrapped in cloth were recovered. Along with this, the officials also seized many other items including mantras, talismans, paper clippings, all of which are believed to be used in witchcraft activities. The items were handed over to the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai for further investigation, said Khalid Ahmed, senior manager of Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport.

Doing black magic is a crime in UAE

According to Section 316 of the Criminal Code of the UAE, practicing black magic or smuggling magical items is a crime. Smuggling of items used in black magic can result in jail or fine. Ahmed said that we are aware of the dangers of using these things in black magic. He told that the backs of all passengers have to undergo X-ray. Items that may be associated with sorcery or black magic are prohibited.

Even before this, during the investigation, Customs officials have recovered many things used in black magic. These included metal pieces, animal skins, books of black magic, fish skeletons, rings, nails, bones and bags containing blood. Dubai Customs has reported that between 2018 and 2020, more than 68 kilograms of black magic items were seized at Dubai International Airport.
