by time news

No Swiss cross-country skier was able to climb into the top 15 during the finals in Norway. The Finns achieved a double.

The Swiss failed to work miracles on the snow of Falun on Saturday during the last classic 10 km event of the season. Nadine Fähndrich finished best Swiss in 17th place, ahead of Nadja Kälin in 22nd. Anja Weber (32nd) and Désirée Steiner (34th) finished further back.

The Finns took the double, with Kerttu Niskanen at the front, followed by Johanna Matintalo, on the box for the first time in the discipline. Sweden’s Jonna Sundling completed the podium. The specialty Globe goes to American Jessie Diggins, who finished 5th.
