/ The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority reported on Friday that it had received a report about an incident in the Red Sea near Aden, and that the country’s authorities were investigating the matter.
A note to the authority indicates that an incident was reported about 90 nautical miles southeast of the Yemeni port of Aden and that the authorities are investigating the matter.
This incident comes hours after the United States and Britain began a massive attack on several Yemeni cities at dawn on Friday, targeting sites belonging to the Houthis.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that the strikes against the Houthis targeted radars and infrastructure for drones and missiles, noting that “this operation aims to disrupt and weaken the Houthis’ ability to endanger sailors and threaten international trade in one of the most important sea lanes in the world.”
