According to a Border Patrol report obtained by the American tabloid, Bassel Bassel Abadi (22), born in Berg al-Barajna, south of Beirut, was caught near El Paso, Texas, on March 9. According to Abadi, he fled Lebanon because he “didn’t want to kill people” and that when he was in Costa Rica, his documents were stolen from him. He also admitted to using a fake name and date of birth. He also said that he hoped to reach New York and from there continue to other places throughout the US.
