Construction of the new João Goulart bridge should begin in the next few weeks in Arambaré

by time news

The contract for construction of the new João Goulart bridge, in Arambaré, was signed last Friday (15) by the mayor of Arambaré, Jardel Magalhães (PL), and the chief engineer of the work. The mayor was at the General Control, broadcast live through Clic Rádio on Saturday (16), where he spoke about this and other issues.

According to the mayor, construction has not yet started because Corsan asked for another week to adapt the water supply in the Cibislândia and Caramuru neighborhoods. CEEE Equatorial also asked for a deadline for adjustments, but construction of the new bridge should start in March, with a deadline for completion by December.

To replace the bridge, during the construction period, a ferry will be used.

The work will cost R$7.2 million, with payment in three installments. The first, of R$3 million, has already been paid, as Mayor Jardel said during this Saturday’s program.

Fig Tree of Peace

The mayor also spoke about the branch that broke in Figueira da Paz. According to him, this is another “announced tragedy” that his management encountered when he took over municipal administration, as is the case with the João Goulart bridge and the Maria da Graça bridge, which was rebuilt with concrete last year.

According to Jardel, there are photos of cracks from more than 40 years ago in Figueira da Paz. “It wasn’t in two years that we would regenerate a branch”. A team was hired to maintain the fig tree.
