Marco Odermatt proves his humanity in the giant slalom in Saalbach.
The Swiss ski superstar was eliminated in the second round after leading at halftime after just a few goals. Odermatt had previously won all nine season competitions in this discipline, and has a series of twelve RTL victories in a row across all seasons.
The victory goes to compatriot Loic Meillard, who brings a big lead from the first round to the finish ahead of Joan Verdu (+0.71) and the next Swiss Thomas Tumler (+0.79).

Just missing the podium was Stefan Brennsteiner (+1.20), who gained seven places with a strong second run in the final and thus secured a starting place in the top group for next season.
Manuel Feller (+1.50) takes tenth place, Raphael Haaser is eliminated in the second round.
