A total of 205 clubs have been approved for membership in the BFS, but must wait for the next congress to be accepted.
This is clear from the headquarters’ documents. At the last general assembly, which ended with the election of a president in favor of Georgi Ivanov-Gonzo, there was no item on the admission of new members.
Most of the clubs that are on the list are those excluded by the management of Borislav Mihailov because of their support for Dimitar Berbatov’s candidacy.
As many as 39 clubs are from the city of Sofia, among them is even the school of Emil Velev-Kokala, as well as the rather interesting name “September flag”. There are only three from Sofia region – from Novi Khan, Zlokuchene and Svoge.
10 are from Blagoevgrad, including “Struma 1948” from Marikostinovo, where Berbatov grew up. 7 are from Kyustendil, 6 from Pernik (including “Metalurg”), 22 are from Plovdiv, 2 are from Smolyan (with only 1 member so far), 7 from Haskovo, 3 from Sliven, 7 from Yambol, 10 from Stara Zagora , “Verbitsa” (Benkovski) from Kardjali, “Sveti Vlas”, “Bulgarovo” and “Neftokhimik” from Burgas, 11 are from Veliko Tarnovo, “Tryavna” from Gabrovo, 6 are from Vratsa, 6 are from Pleven, “Botev” (Gramada) and “Balkan” (Belogradchik) from Vidin, 3 are from Montana, 4 from Lovech, 14 are from Varna, 7 from Dobrich, 3 from Silistra, 7 from Ruse, 4 from Razgrad, “Svetkavitsa” from Targovishte (former member of the elite) and 15 from Shumen.
The lack of membership prevents applying for projects – whether state or EU.
The new president, Georgi Ivanov, promised BNT that this problem would be solved at the next congress.
