The Bulgarian competitors became the first in the team classification of the classical style wrestling tournament for cadets in memory of the Olympic vice-champion Refik Memišević in Subotica (Serbia).

The team, led by coaches Nikolay Dachev and Mariyan Byandov, took four titles and four bronze medals.

In the heavy up to 110 kg, Denis Lazarov became the champion after three victories. The Bulgarian also deserved the “Refik Memishevich” prize for the best competitor.

The first to climb the ladder were Stanislav Ivanov, who achieved 4 successes in the 45 kg category, Alyosha Iliev rejoiced in the 55 kg category after three victories, and Sergey Stoev (71) also reached the top after four won fights.

Kaloyan Ivanov (48) left with bronze, who in the fight for the bronze defeated Slovakian Zoltan Bot by technical knockout, to whom he lost at the European Championship last year.

Yasen Borisov (51 kg), Stanislav Raychev (60 kg) and Tsvetelin Angelov (71 kg) also took bronze medals, who was behind by 0:6, but made a comeback for 7:6.

The Hungarian wrestlers were second in the team standings, the Poles were third.

170 young talents from 13 countries took part in the competition, including Austria, Croatia, Romania, Albania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, France.

The Bulgarian judge of the tournament was Angel Petrov.
