Fiorentina director’s sudden health problem postpones game with Atalanta

According to the Italian press, Joe Barone suffered a heart attack during a team meeting, in a hotel in Bergamo, and was transported by helicopter to the San Rafael hospital, in Milan.

The Atalanta-Fiorentina game, from the 29th round of the Italian League, scheduled for the late afternoon of this Sunday, was postponed, due to a sudden health problem of Joe Barone, general director of the Florence team.

According to the Italian press, Joe Barone suffered a heart attack during a team meeting, in a hotel in Bergamo, and was transported by helicopter to the San Rafael hospital, in Milan.

Fiorentina immediately requested the postponement of the game, scheduled for 6pm local time (one hour less in Lisbon), with Atalanta and the League accepting the request to play the match on a date to be defined.

The Florence team occupies eighth place in the Italian League, while Atalanta, who eliminated Sporting from the Europa League in midweek, is sixth.
