Beirut: Israel, which is fighting a war with Hamas, has now attacked Syria. Israel carried out airstrikes at several places in southern Syria late Saturday night, injuring a soldier. Syria’s state news agency SANA, quoting an unnamed military official, said the air defense system shot down some missiles that came from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights at 12:42 a.m. local time. A statement said that these attacks have caused damage and one soldier has been injured.
