jpnn.com – JAKARTA – General Chair of ProJo Budi Arie Setiadi said that the daughter-in-law of Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Erina Sofia Gudono, will not run as a candidate for regional head or deputy regional head in the 2024 regional elections.

He said this in response to questions from media crew after the Minister of Communication and Information attended a meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (19/3).

“No, no. That’s not it,” said Budi Arie, Tuesday.

The University of Indonesia (UI) alumnus even said that Erina Gudono’s husband, Kaesang Pangarep, would not be a candidate in the 2024 regional elections either.

“Mas Kaesang and Erina Gudono will not run for regional elections,” said Budi Arie.

However, he said, no political party has yet proposed Erina to be a candidate in the 2024 regional elections.

“Yes, no, not at the moment. It won’t be until June,” said Budi Arie.

Previously, the Gerindra Party opened the opportunity to propose Erina’s name on the list of candidates who would run for the regional elections in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta.
