jpnn.comKUDUS – The National Zakat Amil Agency (BAZNAS) distributed Happy Ramadan Packages (PRB), Ramadan Blessing Meals (HBR), and fast-breaking meals to flood evacuees in Kudus, Central Java.
The distribution of aid to meet the needs of flood evacuees was carried out on Sunday (17/3).
“Hopefully it can be useful for the people affected by the flood at the Kudus flood evacuation post,” said Saidah Sakwan, Head of BAZNAS for Distribution and Utilization in his statement, Tuesday (19/3).
Saidah said that PRB and the ready-to-eat food aid distributed were not just material, but a message that in the midst of difficulties that they were not alone.
“There are hands ready to help, and there are hearts full of kindness to support each other,” he said.
Saidah said that the floods that hit the Kudus area were a deep sorrow for everyone. Many families were directly affected by this natural disaster, losing their homes, possessions, and even their beloved relatives.
“It not only drowned houses in three sub-districts, but also rice fields, so that a lot of grain rotted, the losses experienced by the community were quite large,” he said.
Saidah emphasized that BAZNAS will make every effort to help the victims by providing various needed humanitarian services.
