So-called flying buildings are the typical facilities or systems at a fair. These buildings cannot be found in a museum, a children’s playground or a zoo.

After Information from Tüv Nord on a safety standard: “According to the definition in Section 76 of the Model Building Code, temporary buildings are all structures that are regularly erected and dismantled, for example for fairs or folk festivals. Incidentally, the “new” standard also applies to rides in amusement parks, which are not flying structures.

What are flying buildings anyway?

According to Tüv Nord, these include: “Ferris wheels, roller coasters and carousels, but also tent halls, climbing walls, mobile stages and grandstands.”
