Developers can now stream industrial twins interactively to Apple’s AR glasses.

Nvidia has launched new Omniverse Cloud APIs to stream high-quality interactive content directly to Apple Vision Pro.

The news was launched during the Nvidia GTC, and allows the streaming of Universal Scene Description files (OpenUSD) from the applications to the NVIDIA Graphics Delivery Network (GDN) – a network of data centers that streams the 3D content on to a Vision Pro.

And in the example shown in the video below – which also uses AI – we see how to design cars interactively with full rendering quality in real time. Nvidia’s solution must be able to handle large, high-resolution industrial models.

The technology relies on real-time physics to achieve this high fidelity, but can also combine decentralized and local rendering using SwiftUI and RealityKit on Vision Pro, with Omniverse RTX Renderer streaming from GDN.
