The first edition of the Danki Fight Show came to an end with a technical knockout during the most anticipated fight of the night.
Santa Catarina businessman Guilherme Grillo faced Popó, four-time world boxing champion, this Saturday (23), at Stage Music Park.
The blue corner representative, fighting for Florianópolis, suffered two knock downs and endured three rounds in the ring against the world boxing icon. There were five and a half minutes of fighting in the Danki Fight Show.

Guilherme Grillo managed to hit Popó’s waistline with a cross. But in a new clinch between the opponents, the four-time world champion hit his opponent’s ribs.
The four-time world boxing champion returned to the attack and landed a straight right over Guilherme Grillo’s guard.
The little man even withstood a powerful uppercut from Popó and Grillo slipped and fell to the ground. Afterwards, Popó landed a left cross and a straight right that sent Grillo into the ropes.

After they moved away, Popó returned to the attack and landed another good sequence of blows, highlighting a straight right on Grillo. The Santa Catarina businessman landed a jab on Popó to push him away.

How was the fight between Popó and Guilherme Grillo
The most anticipated fight on Saturday night between Acelino “Popó” Freitas and Santa Catarina businessman Guilherme Grillo lasted 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
In the very busy first round, Popó went after Grillo with cross attempts to hit his opponent, who dodged the attacks well and even landed a cross on the four-time world boxing champion.
Two blows from Popó hit the Santa Catarina businessman at the end of the first round, but it was not enough to end the fight. The sound of the bell made the crowd cheer for Grillo having endured the first round against a four-time champion.
Second round
In the second round, Popó again went on the attack while Grillo used the clinch as a way to stop the fight.

Grillo tried to attack Popó, who dodged the sequence well, but received hard blows before the end of the second round.
Third round
In the third round, Grillo hit Popó’s waistline, who was hitting his opponent in the ribs after the clinch.
The Santa Catarina native endured an uppercut from the Bahian fighter, who landed a left cross and a straight right that sent Grillo into the ropes.
After another sequence from Popó, the businessman went to the ground and his team threw in the towel, declaring the fight to be over.
