jpnn.comJAKARTA – Secretary of the PKB DPP Syuro Council KH Saifullah Ma’shum responded to grassroots aspirations to encourage the General Chair of the PKB DPP Muhaimin Iskandar to run for the East Java gubernatorial election.

He also asked the cadres and administrators to focus on guarding disputes over election results at the Constitutional Court (MK).

“The attitude of the General Chair of the PKB DPP, Gus Muhaimin, is very clear to focus on overseeing the presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court. “This attitude should be followed by all levels of PKB management and cadres to jointly oversee AMIN’s lawsuit at the Constitutional Court,” said Kiai Saifullah Ma’shum, Thursday (28/3).

Saifullah explained that the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Amin) lawsuit to the Constitutional Court was an effort to uphold the constitutional mandate so that the elections would be honest and fair.

According to him, this effort must be overseen by all levels of PKB management and cadres as the main supporters of the AMIN pair.

He explained that regardless of the results, PKB cadres and administrators should fight for the constitutional mandate.

“That elections must be held honestly and fairly so that whoever is elected has strong legitimacy,” he continued.

Saifullah explained that the lawsuit to the Constitutional Court would also protect the AMIN pair’s chances of winning.
