Englishman Jude Bellingham, the Real Madrid midfielder, appeared with his country during the recent international break, against Brazil and Belgium in two friendlies hosted at Wembley Stadium.
Bellingham succeeded in scoring his first international goal at Wembley Stadium, leading the England national team to a fatal draw with Belgium (2-2).
Sky Sports indicated that the 20-year-old is close to reaching a record with the Three Lions, which he may reach in the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament.
Bellingham became the second-most-appeared player with the England national team before he turned 21, on par with Marcus Rashford, with 29 appearances.
The Real Madrid star is only 6 matches away from Wayne Rooney’s record (35).
It is not known to what extent Bellingham can reach this historic number, as the England national team will play two friendly matches next June.
After that, coach Gareth Southgate’s men will play 3 matches in the group stage of Euro 2024, which means that Bellingham can participate in 5 matches before his birthday on the twenty-ninth of next June.
If England finishes in the third group, it will play its match in the round of 16 against the winner of the first group when Bellingham turns 21.
