Bengaluru: Virat Kohli shows in second consecutive match at Chinnasami Stadium. Kohli’s half-century helped Royal Challengers Bangalore score 182 for 6 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Bengaluru’s top scorer is Kohli who scored 83 runs off 59 balls.
After losing the toss, Bengaluru lost their captain Fafe Duplessis (8 off 6 balls). As Duplessis failed to shine, Virat Kohli himself took control of the match. Cameron Greene, who came to the crease after Du Plessis was out, provided good support to Kohli. Both added 65 runs on the scoreboard for the second wicket. With the score at 82, Green (33 off 21 balls) was dismissed by Russell. Kohli moved the scoreboard by partnering Glenn Maxwell who came next. Maxwell (28 off 19 balls) was caught by Rinku Singh off Sunil Narine in 14.4 overs.
Rajat Pattadaar (3 in 4 balls) and Anuj Rawat (3 in 3 balls) who came after could not make significant contributions. But in 17.4 overs, Kohli joined Dinesh Karthik and brought the score to 182. Harshit Rana and Andre Russell took two wickets each and Sunil Narine took one wicket for Kolkata.
